Maps Group wins “Best ESG Identity” at the AssoNEXT Awards 2024

A significant milestone that demonstrates the Group’s concrete commitment to sustainability

During the 2024 AssoNEXT Awards, organized by AssoNEXT, the Italian Association of Listed SMEs, Maps Group received the prestigious “Best ESG Identity” award. This recognition is clear evidence of the Group’s focus on sustainability and transparency.

Maps Group was commended for its distinctive approach to ESG, particularly for the transparency of its information, clear communication, and concrete commitment to sustainability.
In its 2023 Sustainability Report, Maps Group has already aligned with the new EU directive, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The aim of the CSRD is to provide clarity to help investors, analysts, consumers, and other stakeholders better evaluate the sustainability performance of EU companies, as well as their related impacts and risks.

The ESG Identity of Maps Group

Several elements set Maps Group’s ESG Identity apart, according to the jury:

  • Engaging and communicative design in the preparation of sustainability reports, deemed visually compelling and designed to capture attention and effectively communicate results and objectives.
  • Clarity of information was considered a crucial factor in building trust and ensuring that all stakeholders, from investors to clients, can easily access relevant data.
  • Accessible language choices were praised for making the Group’s goals comprehensible to a broad audience without compromising technical complexity.
  • Sustainability deeply embedded in corporate culture, influencing every aspect of Maps Group’s operations, from strategy to daily activities.
  • Adherence to the European taxonomy, in line with international best practices
  • Lastly, the Group was applauded for adopting an approach that considers both financial and non-financial impacts of its activities, underlining its commitment to a comprehensive and responsible vision.

Sustainability Report and ESG Identity: The Result of Team Efforts at Maps Group

Winning the “Best ESG Identity” Award 2024 would not have been possible without the efforts of the Sustainability Team, led by Giulia Cavalieri, Group Corporate Legal Counsel, and Matteo Gasparri, Investor Relations Specialist, who collected and analyzed the data for the 2023 Sustainability Report.
The drafting of the document and communication of the results were further supported by the Communication Team, with the invaluable contribution of colleague and graphic designer Alessia Giusti.
