Maps Group and PH Facility sign a strategic alliance in the industrial plant revamping market

Maps Group e PH Facility insieme per il revamping industriale

Maps Energy’s BRAINWATT® platform to support PH Facility’s turnkey industrial revamping solutions, with joint branding and the option of white-label deployment.

Parma, 29 October 2026

Maps S.p.A. (MAPS:IM; ISIN IT0005364333), a company listed on Euronext Growth Milan and active in the digital transformation sector, announces that today, through its wholly owned subsidiary Maps Energy S.r.l., owner of the BRAINWATT® platform, it has entered into a non-exclusive alliance agreement with PH Facility S.r.l. (“PH Facility”), a Genoa-based engineering and implementation company specialising in industrial plant revamping, with an operational presence in Italy, France and Switzerland.

Strategic rationale

The alliance addresses growing demand across the Italian and European industrial markets for integrated plant revamping solutions, in which energy efficiency and compliance with applicable regulations (covering energy, environmental, technical and safety requirements) are key drivers of value for end customers.

Against a backdrop in which Italy is Europe’s second-largest manufacturing economy, and the energy transition increasingly relies on the revamping of existing industrial plants as a key area of intervention, the alliance brings together two complementary areas of expertise, with no overlap between their respective activities.

PH Facility contributes its expertise in design, detailed engineering, project supervision and the physical implementation of works, together with its portfolio of industrial customers and its extensive nationwide technical support network.

Maps Energy provides the BRAINWATT® platform, a modular digital ecosystem comprising Monitoring, Energy Insights, Anomaly Detection, Remote Control, Optimization, Energy Audit, Energy Communities (ECs) and related mobile apps. Based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, the platform enables the monitoring, orchestration and optimisation of energy systems. It is technology-independent at field level and compatible with leading standard communication protocols, including Modbus and OPC UA.

The alliance within Maps Group’s growth strategy

The agreement with PH Facility forms part of Maps Group’s broader growth strategy, which involves identifying and establishing a presence in high value-added vertical markets, both in Italy and internationally, where the adoption of the Group’s digital platforms in the energy sector can generate significant added value for partners with whom new alliances will progressively be established.

In this context, the alliance with PH Facility represents the first structured application of this approach in the industrial plant revamping segment. The Group intends to replicate and extend this model to other selected vertical markets, based on their complementarity with the BRAINWATT® platform and their medium-term growth potential.

Operating model

The alliance will be implemented through two complementary operating models, designed to provide flexibility in bringing the integrated solutions to market.

The primary go-to-market approach will be the co-branded model, under which the solutions will be jointly presented to the market, with clear visibility given to both the PH Facility and Maps Energy brands.

Alongside this approach, the agreement also provides for an optional white-label model, whereby, subject to the execution of a specific implementing work order, the BRAINWATT® platform may be incorporated into the integrated solutions and services marketed by PH Facility under its own brand.

In this case, the implementing work order will define the scope of the engagement, the modules to be deployed, the applicable service levels and the related software-as-a-service fees, as well as the commercial terms governing any graphic customisation activities. Such activities will be carried out exclusively by Maps Energy.

Regardless of the operating model adopted, ownership of the BRAINWATT® platform will remain exclusively with Maps Energy.

Management Comments

“The alliance with PH Facility is part of Maps Group’s growth strategy, which involves identifying and establishing a presence in high value-added vertical markets, both in Italy and internationally, where our digital platforms in the energy sector can generate significant added value for the partners with whom we will enter into new alliances.
Industrial plant revamping is the first of these vertical markets: a segment in which BRAINWATT® has a natural and high-potential field of application, and in which PH Facility is an outstanding partner, recognised for the quality of its technical offering and the depth of its relationships with leading industrial customers,” said Maurizio Pontremoli, Chief Executive Officer of Maps Group.

“The alliance with Maps Energy complements our offering with a digital component of significant value, enabling us to make the results of the efficiency improvements we design and implement measurable, controllable and repeatable. At a time when Italian industry is increasingly demanding turnkey solutions whose results can be verified, we are confident that this collaboration represents the right response to our customers’ needs,” said Anna Giuntini, Chief Executive Officer of PH Facility.
