Maps Group participates in the European project Plug&plAy eneRgy ManagEmeNt for hybrID Energy Storage (PARMENIDES). The 3-year project, financed with Horizon EU program funds, involves the collaboration of eight leading European and Swiss institutes and companies in the development of energy management services for hybrid storage systems, in other words, systems in which there is a combination of different storage methods (ex. hydrogen batteries and hydroelectric storage systems). The aim is to define an information and communication architecture capable of ensuring an interoperable, reliable, and secure exchange of data and instructions, which will be tested in two very different pilot projects, one in Austria and one in Sweden. The Austrian pilot will specifically focus on energy communities.
In this context, Maps Group’s proprietary solution Rose, already specialized in the organization and management of Energy Communities, can be further developed, also for the case of hybrid storage systems, and can benefit of an international contribution to its development, given by collaboration and testing as well as a financing sum of € 425,250.00.
Gian Luca Cattani, Head of Maps S.p.A Research & Solutions Office, comments:
“Our participation in these projects makes us extremely proud because we have the opportunity to work in an international context. An opportunity that, on the one hand, allows us to expand the different use cases in which Rose can be used and, on the other hand, enables us to establish strong and lasting relationships with leading European institutions. Furthermore, this helps us to optimally prepare the internationalization of our energy offering.”
