Chair
Marco Ciscato graduated in Computer Engineering in 2000 from the University of Bologna. From 2000 to 2001, he worked as a software engineer at DS Data Systems S.p.A. Then, from 2005 to 2007,he was a contract professor of computer science (focusing his activity, in particular, in the area of Object Oriented programming and data management) at the Istituto Formazione Operatori Aziendali in Reggio Emilia, for post-graduate and post-diploma courses and at companies. He has been with Maps since its establishment, as a founding partner and director. Until 2006, he served as vice president of the company and, since 2017, he has been the chairman of the board of directors.
CEO
Maurizio Pontremoli graduated in Physics in 1992 from the University of Parma.From 2001 to 2005, he served as CEO of Imagena S.r.l., managing the start-up and development of a company specialized in software solutions dedicated to the world of mobile telephony.From 1994 to 1996, he worked as a software engineer at DS Data Systems S.p.A., where he was responsible for software production and the definition of technical architectures, using object-oriented technologies in distributed environments.From 1996 to 2007, he was Director of the “ITPS” business unit at DS Data Systems S.p.A., a unit focused on the study and implementation of custom software solutions for large companies. He is CEO of Maps, which he joined in 2008, dealing with strategic and operational management of the company, as well as coordination of the “Research&Solutions” business unit.
Director
Gian Luca Cattani graduated in Mathematics in 1992 from the University of Parma. In 1996, he received an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and a PhD in Computer Science from the same university in 1999. Subsequently, in 2016, he obtained an Executive Master in Technology Innovation Management from the Bologna Business School, University of Bologna. From 1998 to 2000, he was a research associate at the University of Cambridge, UK. From 2000 to 2007, he worked for DS Data Systems S.p.A. holding various positions, most recently as business unit manager. He joined Maps in 2008, and has been its Research and Development Director since 2017. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Issuer.
Independent Director
Paolo Pietrogrande received a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1981, and then went on to study management at the California Institute of Technology (USA), at Insead (France) and finally at the GE Learning Center in Crottonville (USA). He was Scientific Director of the Executive Master in Business Administration at the then Alma Graduate School, University of Bologna, and has taught leadership, management and marketing at universities such as Bologna Business School, Columbia University (USA), Istituto Superiore per Imprenditori e Dirigenti di Azienda (Palermo) and LUISS (Rome). In addition to being the author of numerous publications, he has held operational positions and roles on the boards of directors of various European and international companies. He is currently Managing Partner at Netplan Management Consulting LLC (Delaware). He is an independent director of the Issuer.
Independent Director
Rosa Grimaldi is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the University of Bologna. She has a background in engineering. She is the Scientific Director of the Executive Master in Technology and Innovation Management (EMTIM) at BBS (Bologna Business School). Since 2015, she has been the Rector’s Delegate for Entrepreneurship and Business Relations for the University of Bologna. Her scientific production concerns the themes of new business creation, technology transfer, university-enterprise relations. On these topics, she has published in prestigious international journals including: Research Policy, R&D Management, Technology and Innovation Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Small Business Economics, Scientometrics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Technology Transfer.

Federico Albini holds a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Salerno, is a member of the Register of Chartered Accountants of Milan and, since 2005, of the Register of Auditors. In addition, he is registered in the roll of Technical Consultants of the Judge and in the list of persons qualified to act as bankruptcy receivers, commissioners and judicial liquidators at the Court of Milan. From 1995 to 1999, he collaborated with an important accounting firm, subsequently becoming a partner. Specializing in corporate, financial statements and tax law, as well as in the valuation of business units and companies and company restructuring, in 2012 he founded Studio Albini. He holds positions as auditor and chairman of the board of statutory auditors in several companies and, throughout his career, has provided advice in the areas of his specialization. Roberto Barontini holds a degree in Economics from the University of Pisa and a postgraduate diploma from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.Since 1992, he has been a researcher in Corporate Finance at the Faculty of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences of the UniversitĂ Cattolica and, since 2000, he has been Associate Professor of Corporate Finance at the same University, Piacenza campus.Since 2004, he has been full Professor of Corporate Finance and coordinator of the second level University Master in Management, Innovation and Service Engineering at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.From 2002 to 2016, he was lecturer and scientific head of the “Credit Risk Management” program at ABIFormazione.Since 2005, he has been a member of the teaching board of the PhD in Management – Innovation, Sustainability and Healthcare at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. At the same institute, since 2013, he has been appointed Coordinator of the “Placement Project”. As a full member, he is a member of the Italian Academy of Business Economics and of the Association of Teachers of Economics of Financial Markets. He is the author of numerous scientific publications on corporate finance issues. Since 1989, he has been a chartered accountant, registered with the La Spezia Chamber of Commerce, and an auditor. During his career, he has served as judicial commissioner and receiver, and is a member of several boards of auditors. He is a standing member of the Issuer’s Board of Statutory Auditors.
Pierluigi Pipolo graduated in Economics of International Trade and Currency Markets from the Naval Institute of Naples in 1997. He participated in the Tax Master held by the Tax Consulting Firm during the edition held between 2001 and 2002, and then took part in several advanced courses for auditors. He has been a qualified chartered accountant since 2001 and, in the same year, was appointed auditor. Since 2003, he has been on the Register of Technical Consultants of the Court of Naples, as a chartered accountant. He is also on the list of Cooperative Auditors of the National League of Cooperatives and Mutual Societies. Currently, in addition to holding the position of statutory auditor and director in numerous companies, he is a standing auditor of the Issuer.
Mirco Diotalevi graduated in Economics and Commerce in 1998 from the University of Bologna. Since 2002, he has been enrolled in the Register of Chartered Accountants and the Register of Auditors. ince the same year, he has been working as a Chartered Accountant, dealing mainly with tax and corporate assistance to companies in the industrial, commercial and craft sectors. He holds the position of auditor and statutory auditor in several companies. He is a standing member of the Issuer’s Board of Statutory Auditors.
Giuseppe Salamini graduated as an accountant and commercial expert from the Ettore Sanfelice State Technical Commercial Institute in 1973. Since 1986, he has been a member of the Board of Accountants and Commercial Experts of the province of Reggio Emilia, where he works as a freelance consultant. He currently holds positions in various companies and is an alternate auditor of the Issuer’s Board of Statutory Auditors.
On 29 April 2024, Deloitte S.p.A. was engaged to audit the financial statements until the date of the Shareholders’ Meeting convened to approve the annual financial statements at 31 December 2026.
